Question ...
When does someone become a writer (or anything, for that matter)? Is it when she
starts writing, or when others read what she wrote? I was reminded of a quote, but I
had to look for it. I’ve found it now! Here it is:
“We do not became healers.
We came as healers. We are. Some of us still catching up to what we are.
We do not became storytellers.
We came as carriers of the stories we and our ancestors actually lived. We are. Some of us still catching up to what we are.
We do not became artists.
We came as artists. We are. Some of us still catching up to what we are.
We do not became writers, dancers, musicians, peacemakers.
We came as such. We are. Some of us still catching up to what we are.
We do not learn to love in this sense.
We came as Love. We are Love. Some of us still catching up to who we truly are.”

The question still lingered in the space. When does one become a writer? Is it when
she starts writing, or when others read what she wrote, or when she is given money
for what she wrote?
And then, it dawned on me. A person doesn’t become a writer when she gets money
for her writings, or when readers show up to read her lines, and not even when she
begins to write. A person becomes a writer when she decides to commit to herself, to
that for which she was born. A person becomes a writer when she decides to follow
her heart and come as it may, she will keep doing it, because it is her fate, her
mission and her commitment. She makes a DECISION. Without loopholes and
bypass-roads. There is only a plan A, and not plan B or C etc... There is only
one possible path, where the heart leads the way, immovable, unwavering,
pure and blessed, because it springs from within Itself.
I decided – I am a writer and I am the founder of Ray of Light-.
